Nude Camping
So here's something interesting - spending a weekend buck-naked in the woods, or perhaps beach. Need a little time in the gym first? Me too. Don't be scared, though. Many people feel the human body, no matter size or shape, is a thing of beauty, and enjoy nude camping. As long as you aren't violating the rights of others, or behaving indecently, enjoy yourself. Let it all hang out!
The Nude Camping Checklist
As always, check out our camping equipment checklist page for items you'll need nearly every trip. In addition to those, you will want to pack:
- Clothes
Despite the whole trip being about getting naked, it still gets cold at night, and you never know who may show up to your camp site! - Un-pack the camera
Unless you plan on staying in a remote location, many camp sites and resorts do not allow pictures. - Un-pack the sex toys
It's not that kind of party. Many resorts and camp sites will ask you to leave for openly displaying sexual acts and obscene images. - Sunscreen and hat
It's already in our universal list, but it deserves another mention in this case! - A companion
You will be extra vulnerable to weather, snakes, insects, spiders, etc. Make sure someone is there to help you in case of an emergency. - Plant research
You should always do a thorough investigation of your camping area before heading out. Camping nude poses an extra, interesting concern - skin irritation. Make sure you know the plants in the area; you will come in contact!
Locations
Nude camping is not necessarily for everyone. If you're curious, and want to give it a try, you may want to start off with a resort-style site. They can be pricey, but are designed to make the experience more pleasurable. Most will require membership in the American Association for Nude Recreation. Again, there is a fee, but varies depending on your subscription. Clubs are another great way to learn more about camping in the buff. Here are a few websites to get you started. Be sure to check out the different activities and amenities each location offers.
- eHow.com has directions on finding the perfect location.
- The American Association for Nude Recreation will obviously be an invaluable resource.
- Love to Know has a few camp sites that you may find interesting.
